Dr. Donald Zelazny and his family currently live in Oakland Township, Michigan. He and his wife Michelle have two young children; Andrew, age 9 and Tessa, age 7.

Dr. Zelazny attended St. Hugo of the Hills school as a child, but finished High School in Columbus, Ohio. After completing his studies at The University of Notre Dame he enrolled at The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. It was there that Dr. Wright and Dr. Zelazny met, (as all seat assignments were “alphabetical” they spent four years sitting next to each other). After dental school Dr. Zelazny completed a one year Dental General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Ohio, (now the Medical University of Ohio), in Toledo.

Fortunately Drs. Wright and Zelazny did not tire of each other after living together and sitting next to each other for four years, (and standing up in each other’s weddings), and have now practiced together since 1992.

His outside interests include guitar, music, tennis and photography, especially travel photography. The family is active in the international adoption community, especially with other families that have adopted from Kazakhstan and South Korea. He and his wife have traveled extensively, although with two young children, their journeys now rarely leave Oakland County.
